With the rapid popularization of artificial intelligence Internet of Things in various fields, composite detection and intelligent processing of infrared information is the only way for the popularization and development of infrared detection technology to more fields, and infrared detectors are developing from single information to multidimensional information fusion imaging and on-chip intelligence. Industrial monitoring, consumer electronics, automotive electronics and other fields have bred expectations of high growth demand in the infrared detector market. The infrared detector has completed the first and second generation research and practical application. The third generation of infrared detectors is mainly aimed at the application characteristics of tactical universality and strategic high performance, focusing on the development of infrared detectors with the concept of SWaP³. At present, the basic breakthrough of technology has begun to enter the equipment. The high-end third generation infrared detectors tend to challenge the extreme performance of ultra-high resolution, ultra-high energy resolution, ultra-high time resolution and ultra-high spectral resolution. At the same time, the industry is developing on-chip integration technology of artificial micro and nano structures and infrared detectors to achieve the fourth generation of infrared detectors with multi-dimensional optical information fusion such as intensity, phase, polarization and spectrum.
