The Intelligent Perception and Control Technologies (IPCT) Technology Division at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) focuses on developing cutting-edge technologies, covering core platforms for emerging sensing and display technologies, including photonics devices, optical sensing and display modules, intelligent hardware systems, and various sensing and display algorithms. Its solutions include micro display (LCoS), , diffractive optics (DOE), holographic optics (HOE), waveguide optical technology, 3D sensing modules for behavior analysis, event sensing modules with privacy protection, multi-factor biometric sensing devices, as well as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) display technologies. These technologies play a key role in the fields of intelligent care, smart buildings, and intelligent transportation.
The forum will focus on sharing the latest progress and application cases of intelligent perception sensing and control technologies. For example, in the field of Smart Caring, neuromorphic sensing technology accurately analyzes the behavior of objects by simulating the transmission mechanism of biological neural signals, enabling real-time monitoring and abnormal early warning. In the fields of Smart Construction and Smart Transportation, the multispectral imaging technology can efficiently monitor target objects and their environments in complex or harsh conditions. In addition, the team will also introduce polarized optics and nano-optics technologies, which show unique value in autonomous driving environment perceptionand low-altitude economy optical communication.
