Laser Technology Innovation and Application Forum

Time:Sep 9-11
Venue:Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center

2026 marks a pivotal year for the global laser industry as it undergoes deep adjustments and transitions toward high-quality development. With the forward-looking of the 15th Five-Year Plan, laser technology is deeply integrating with cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum science, and photonic computing, becoming a core driver reshaping the landscape of high-end manufacturing. Guided by the concept of new quality productive forces, China's laser industry is undergoing a profound transformation from "speed priority" to "quality priority," while simultaneously facing multiple challenges and opportunities, including intensifying domestic competition, rising barriers to overseas expansion, and the implementation of AI technologies.

Through continuous technological innovation, China's laser industry has achieved key breakthroughs in high-end areas such as fiber lasers and ultrafast lasers. A new generation of lasers, integrating AI and the Internet of Things, possesses the capability to autonomously optimize processing parameters, significantly enhancing precision and efficiency in manufacturing. For instance, femtosecond laser technology achieves micron-level surgical precision in medical device manufacturing and has expanded into neurosurgery and otology; it enables precision semiconductor processing of key materials for 5G and electric vehicle inverters through applications such as dicing silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) wafers (reducing chipping rates by 60%) and drilling through-silicon vias (TSV). Ultraviolet lasers reduce thermal damage during semiconductor wafer dicing. The accelerated development of ultrafast lasers has raised the technical barriers in laser processing, shifting the core of competition toward engineering capabilities and stability. These technological advancements are driving domestic lasers to upgrade from mid- and low-end applications to high-value-added fields, helping the industry break overseas technological monopolies and laying the foundation for participating in global competition.

The "Laser Technology Innovation and Application Forum"  aims to bring together core enterprises along the laser industry chain, experts from key research institutions and universities, and downstream application companies, both domestically and internationally. Its goal is to bridge the gaps between industry, academia, research, and application, address industry pain points, explore new opportunities in the integration of optics and intelligence, guide the industry through cycles, and build new competitive advantages on a global scale.
