With the rapid development of technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and big data, the demand for transmission rates within data centers has seen explosive growth, and the construction of intelligent computing centers is also flourishing. It is estimated that by 2028, optical modules for AI computing scenarios will account for 38% of the entire optical module market. Among these, MMF (Multi-Mode Fiber) optical modules have played an extremely important role in the development of the internet.
Currently, IPEC is conducting standardized research on the optimization of transmission performance for MMF channels with rates of 50G/Lane, 100G/Lane, and 200G/Lane. The organization is actively exploring and practicing multimode standards, promoting the multimode industry towards higher speeds, longer transmission distances, higher reliability, and lower costs. IPEC hopes to gather industry forces and collaborate with industry peers to explore the development direction and industrial roadmap of multimode optical interconnect technologies in new business environments.
Here, we sincerely invite you to participate in the 2025 AI Short-Reach MMF Optical Interconnect Industry Forum and the IPEC eSR MMF Series Standard Release Conference organized by IPEC. Join influential experts, scholars, and industry partners to focus on the challenges and advanced technology exploration practices of AI short-reach optical interconnects. We look forward to your participation!
