Currently, the wave of digitization is sweeping across the globe. New all-optical access technologies such as 50G PON, FTTR, and industrial PON are injecting robust momentum into various industries, building a new digital economy infrastructure. The capabilities of optical networks are being further enhanced and the construction of the next-generation all-optical access network is accelerating, leading us into the era of 10-gigabit intelligent networking. As the technology matures and development scales expand, FTTR is gradually extending from home scenarios to the government and enterprise domains, covering small and medium-sized scenarios such as business offices, catering and entertainment, community healthcare, and education and training, thereby constructing a solid network foundation for the digital upgrading of enterprises. Additionally, with the increasing demand for terminal networks from generative AI applications and the deeper penetration of edge AI, FTTR will encounter new technological iterations and large-scale application deployment. In the development trend of the next-generation of PON technology, 50G PON, with its remarkable high-bandwidth and high-quality service capabilities, is regarded as the ideal choice for the next-generation of high-speed PON technology and is the core technology for realizing the "10 Gigabit" optical access network infrastructure.
In this context, CIOE will invite operators, PON equipment manufacturers, and optical module manufacturers to collaborate with upstream and downstream partners to host the “10 Gigabit Optical Access Technology Trend and Application Forum”, aiming to jointly promote the evolution of access networks from gigabit to the 10-gigabit era.
