With the rapid advancement of science, technology, and modern medicine, the importance of optical technologies in medical applications has become increasingly prominent. Optics now serves as a core driving force in modern medical research, propelling life sciences and clinical diagnostics toward greater precision and minimally invasive innovation. Among these technologies, endoscopic imaging—as a cutting-edge field—has demonstrated significant potential in identifying and quantifying disease impact while improving clinical outcomes.

This specialized session on endoscopic imaging will explore how optical endoscopes are evolving toward clearer, smarter, and more user-friendly solutions. Endoscopes have advanced from high-definition white-light observation to integrating multiple complementary optical imaging modalities, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE). These innovations enable simultaneous macroscopic and microscopic assessment of both tissue surfaces and internal structures. The growing market demand for high-performance core components continues to drive the development of front-end objective lenses toward higher resolution, wider field of view, and smaller form factors. A key future trend is the deep integration of optical hardware with intelligent algorithms. By embedding AI algorithms into endoscopic systems, real-time image analysis can assist physicians in identifying early lesions and differentiating polyp types, thereby significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

Against this backdrop, the Medical Endoscopic Imaging Technology Forum will be held on the morning of September 10, 2026. It will bring together experts from hospitals, leading endoscopy system manufacturers, AI medical / multimodal imaging companies, and related fields to discuss the full-chain challenges and opportunities—from fundamental innovations in optical principles to clinical translation and application. Topics will also include practical difficulties in clinical use, current technical hotspots, and emerging challenges.
