The era of Industry 4.0 refers to a new round of industrial revolution characterized by digitalization, networking and intelligence. As a kind of non-contact temperature measuring instrument, the infrared thermal imager provides a perfect solution for petrochemical and other industrial applications with its characteristics of non-destructive testing and 24h real-time temperature monitoring. Many important equipment in the field of petrochemical industry need to work in high temperature and high pressure environment, which is easy to produce safety risks. According to the safety production requirements, it is necessary to carry out real-time monitoring and eliminate hidden dangers in time. Infrared thermal imaging technology can be used to detect product transmission and pipeline refractory and insulation materials, corrosion, rupture, thinning, clogging and gas leakage of various reactors, so as to collect inspection information. The use of thermal imaging technology in oil refineries can detect safety hazards such as catalytic cracking units, reactor exhaust equipment and furnaces, leakage of safety valves and condensate valves, exposed and shallow buried underground pipelines, etc., and can quickly and accurately investigate and locate them in the early stage. The application of these technologies is very effective in preventing safety accidents and reducing energy consumption. With the continuous progress of infrared technology, gas leakage monitoring technology based on infrared thermal imager will gradually become popular.
