In recent years, quantum dot infrared imaging has shown rapid development. Imaging chip is the core component of imaging system, which plays a decisive role in imaging quality and camera cost. Traditional indium gallium As short-wave infrared chips are expensive, which seriously restricts the market growth, especially in consumer applications. With the continuous development of China's domestic infrared chip technology, China's domestic infrared thermal imaging detector chip has successfully broken through the foreign blockade, and basically achieved domestic substitution. Recently, Optics Valley Laboratory announced that its colloidal quantum dot imaging chip has achieved short-wave infrared imaging and completed pilot tests. At present, it can be processed in a large area compatible with the 12-inch CMOS wafer preparation process, and the cost is very low, which is expected to disrupt the market. As an emerging liquid semiconductor material, the new colloidal quantum dots have the advantages of "wide" spectrum regulation range, "large" synthesis scale, "low" preparation cost, and "easy" processing technology. The "vision chip" made of colloidal quantum dots infrared detection and imaging using the new technology, the machine vision based on short-wave infrared imaging is like the "eye" of the machine. It can be used in industrial applications such as food inspection and semiconductor inspection. At the same time, the breakthrough of this technology also provides a new idea for the development of new infrared focal plane arrays, which is expected to solve the bottleneck problems such as high cost of focal plane, complex process and small array scale, and provides a technological basis for the development of large array focal plane.
