China International Optoelectronic Expo
Currently, global high-end manufacturing is advancing toward ultimate precisionand extreme scales. With Industry 4.0 and the "new quality productive forces" strategy, intelligent manufacturing is reshaping the global industrial landscape. As a key enabling technology, laser micro-nano processing is transforming strategic sectors such as microelectronics, biomedicine, displays, and new energy. Ultrafast lasers (e.g., femtosecond and picosecond) overcome thermal effects, enabling "cold" processing. They show great potential in 3D bulk modification, high-aspect-ratio micro-hole drilling, and complex microstructures. Meanwhile, laser nano-fabrication, using near-field optics and plasmonics, pushes precision toward the quantum limit, offering disruptive solutions for chipmaking, metasurfaces, and next-gen semiconductor packaging.
At the same time, AI technologies—deep learning, large models, and digital twins—are reshaping the entire laser processing chain. On the design side, AI optimizes beam shaping via inverse design. On the process side, machine vision with edge computing enables real-time defect detection and closed-loop control. On the system side, digital twins create smart production lines, cutting development cycles and shifting from experience-driven to data-driven manufacturing.
The "Laser Micro and Nano Processing Advanced Manufacturing Forum" brings together leading laser enterprises, research institutes, and universities to explore AI-empowered laser micro-nano processing mechanisms, methods, and precision equipment. It aims to accelerate the translation from "light" to "application," helping China's high-end manufacturing achieve higher precision in the global value chain.
