The demand for optical interconnect, fueled by AI computing, is evolving from a role that simply supports communication to one that actively drives intelligence. In areas such as high-density optical interconnect in AI data centers, ultra-low-latency deployment of hollow-core fiber, G.654.E ultra-high-speed long-haul transmission, and AI-native intelligent O&M of optical networks, next-generation fiber-optic technologies have become a decisive factor in the performance and cost efficiency of AI compute infrastructure. The alignment between upstream–downstream technology selection and AI architectures is reshaping the industry landscape at an unprecedented pace.
In view of this, C114, together with the China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE), will jointly host the "AI + Novel Optical Fiber Utilization & Deployment Forum" at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center on September 11, 2026. Under the theme "optic Ignites Intelligence, Fiber Connects the Future," the forum focuses on four core topics: high-density optical interconnect for AI Data Center, hollow-core fiber, G.654.E long-haul deployment, and testing & operations. We are bringing together prominent speakers from CAICT, the three major telecom operators, leading internet and cloud service providers, and the investment community. The forum aims to foster alignment in technology development and solution selection across the entire ecosystem, spanning fiber-optic cable manufacturers, internet architects, AI data center operators, carriers, and capital partners.
