In 2026, low-altitude economy became a national emerging pillar industry in the government work report. CAAC estimates its market will hit 1.5 trillion yuan in 2025 and surpass 3.5 trillion yuan by 2035 amid fast industrial expansion.
Core industrial demands cover airspace control, full-domain remote sensing and flight environment support. Full-domain optoelectronic perception, multi-source detection and high-precision imaging are foundational tech for flight safety, refined airspace management and large-scale commercial use. Upgraded application scenarios demand lighter, more reliable and adaptable optoelectronic devices.
The industry suffers poor upstream-downstream coordination. Optoelectronic component and system upgrades fail to match low-altitude application demands, while mature technical solutions lack industrial landing channels, calling for an integrated industry-academia-research exchange platform.
To address this, the Forum on Optoelectronics Empowering New Quality Productive Forces of Low-Altitude Economy will open on the morning of September 11, 2026. It brings together scholars, manufacturers and research bodies to discuss low-altitude remote sensing optics, airborne optoelectronic pods and multi-source fusion perception, bridging tech-scenario gaps to boost integrated high-quality growth of optoelectronics and low-altitude economy.
